PENGUIN BOOKS, ART DIRECTION
For its 70th anniversary, Penguin Books, curated a collection of 70 short stories written by noted authors. Each story was paired with a unique cover design created by 70 art directors. This box set featuring all 70 books became a symbol of Penguin's legacy.
One of the notable pieces in the collection was the cover for Zadie Smith's novella.
To commemorate this milestone, an exhibition at the V&A showcased all 70 book covers. Additionally, a series of captivating talks celebrated the profound cultural and commercial impact that book cover designs have had throughout history.
This project served as both a testament to Penguin's enduring influence on literature and as a celebration of creativity within the publishing world.
